Alameda County, CA: Semi-Truck Collision on 580 Freeway in Castro Valley
Alameda County, California (March 2, 2018): At least one person is believed to have been injured in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck on the 580 Freeway in Castro Valley late yesterday morning, Thursday, March 1, 2018. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident and information is limited while the investigation remains active.
Officials have not yet determined the cause, but they believe the unknown vehicle collided with the semi-truck just before 11:30 a.m., slightly east of Castro Valley Boulevard on the 580 Freeway. The semi-truck driver reportedly sustained minor facial injuries in the crash. No information about the driver of the other vehicle or any possible passengers involved in the crash has been provided at this time.
