Alameda County, CA: Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 680 in Fremont
Alameda County, California (February 27, 2018): The California Highway Patrol has opened an investigation into a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 680 in Fremont, CA, early yesterday afternoon, Monday, February 26, 2018. At least three people are reported to have been injured as a result of the collision.
While precise details regarding the manner in which the accident unfolded remain unknown, it is believed that the collision happened around noon, just south of Mission Boulevard on Highway 680, and involved a box truck and at least three other, unidentified, vehicles. Two victims reportedly had to be extricated from the wreckage by emergency crews that had been dispatched to the site. Three victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries ranging in severity from moderate to serious.
